TROY REVIEW

Troy is based on the Illiad by Homer (Not of the Simpson variety!) I'm sure you know the gist of the story but I'll recap it quickly. In the year 1193 B.C., Paris (Orlando Bloom), a Trojan prince woos Helen (Diane Kruger), Queen of Sparta, away from her husband, Menelaus (Brendan Gleeson), setting the kingdoms of Mycenae Greece at war with Troy. The Greeks sail to Troy and lay siege. Achilles(Brad Pitt) was the greatest hero among the Greeks, while Hector(Eric Bana), the eldest son of Priam (Peter O'Toole), King of Troy, embodied the hopes of the people of his city.

The beginning seemed a little too slow, but as the fighting started it soon picked up. The fight scenes were well choreographed and not for the squeamish amongst us.

The movie was well cast, with plenty of guys for females of all ages (Orlando Bloom for teenagers, Sean Bean for the more mature lady and Brad Pitt for everyone!)

If you liked LOTR then I recommend this film to you, it's the perfect epic adventure. In conclusion, there's something for everyone in this film, romance, drama, action and guys to drool over. Excellent.

BTW i didn't write this review my dear pal Alice did and she likes Orlando Bloom and Brad Pitt hense the review, i personally don't but i haven't seen the film and alice did so hay ho, the sacrifices you make for ur website public

Secret Window Review
I have now seen Secret Window and can safely say..for any Johnny Depp fan it is Very Good!!

The story, as you may have read, is about a writer named Mort Rainey (Depp) who splits up with his wife and moves out to his house (a wooden cabin). Because of this he has a case of writers block and to make matters even worse a make arrived at his house claiming that Rainey 'stole his story'. This guy then turns into a phsycotic stalker and causes Rainey to fear for his life and the life of his ex-wife.

This film, though rated 12A, has a good storyline, which is easy to understand and has an unusual twist at the end (unusual if you haven't read the book).

Do not watch this film if you hate the sight of blood, animal cruelty and Johnny Depp...plus do not eat sweetcorn within a day of watching the film.
